Cirque du Soleil's new KÀ at the MGM Grand looks pretty promising
The performances will happen on huge moving platforms suspended in the air that can rise up and down, revolve and tilt. (See the pictures in the link.) Looks pretty awesome. I have to admit, I hate everything about Vegas; but, now there is something I can look forward to when I have to go.

"How to Do the Asian Squat"
5 min short film. Not new, but I've never seen it before... I have a bunch of pictures of squatting Chinese mainlanders also.

Okay, service on the A and C lines could be restored to full capacity in six to nine months, not years
Full fuctionality will still take three to five years. What does that mean exactly?

It'll take three to five YEARS for NYC's A and C subway lines to return to normal service following a fire to a control room
Five years!?! Why do infrastructure projects take so long in NYC? The damn Williamsburg Bridge refurb took almost 15 years, for example. You can build an entire new subway line in Asia in less time than they will take to fix this signal room. The equipment is so antiquated that there are only two companies in the world who can fix it. Time to scrap the century-old system and computerize the whole thing. And no, I don't know where the money would come from, but this is ridiculous.
